Waldameer's Comet

While at Waldameer a couple days ago for an enthusiast event, we were lucky enough to get some Extra Ride Time on Comet, so I took lots of pictures. Enjoy!
The ride can operate two trains due to its braking system.
Opened in 1951, Comet is a small wooden coaster. The ride, designed by famous coaster designer Herbert P. Schmeck, has a height of 37 feet and reaches speeds of 25 miles per hour.
Off we go!
Ascending the lift hill
The ride has some small dips that provide nice pops of airtime.

Comet is Waldameer's oldest roller coaster, and despite being 68 years old, is still a fantastic ride. It's crazy to think that this was the park's only wood coaster before Ravine Flyer II.

If you are interested, I have a front-seat POV of this ride on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2mmgDXNrZA
